Cancellation & refunds
Plans change. Cancel more than 3 hours before your booking and you pay nothing.

Cancelling as a customer
- More than 3 hours before the start time: free. You are refunded in full, to your original payment method.
- Within 3 hours of the start time: a $20.00 late cancellation fee applies and the rest is refunded. 80% of that fee goes to the pro who had held the time for you; we keep the remainder to cover payment processing.
- After the pro has started the job: the booking can no longer be cancelled in the app. Contact support and we will look at it case by case.
You can cancel yourself from the booking page — there is no phone queue and no retention script.
If we or the pro cancel
If a pro cancels, we try to reassign your booking to another qualified pro at the same price. If we cannot cover the time, the booking is cancelled and refunded in full — no fee, whenever it happens. The same applies if we cancel for safety, weather, or because no vetted pro is available in your area.
No-shows and access
Pros confirm arrival with the 4-digit start code on your booking page. If nobody can let the pro in, or the home cannot be worked in safely, the job is treated as a late cancellation. If a pro does not arrive, tell us and you are refunded in full.
Rescheduling
Rescheduling more than 3 hours ahead is free: cancel and rebook the time you want. Inside that window, the late cancellation fee applies to the original booking.
How refunds are paid
- Card refunds are issued through Stripe to the card you paid with.
- We release the refund immediately; your bank usually posts it within 5–10 business days.
- Taxes are refunded with the amount refunded. Tips are always refunded in full when a job does not happen.
Something went wrong with the work
Cancellation is not the only remedy. If the work was not done properly, contact support@cedarly.example within 72 hours with photos. We will arrange a return visit or a partial refund depending on what happened.
